The Ecology sector is the Cooperative’s boast; in the last years it has shown a great evolution thanks to an awareness campaign for environment and sustainable development, that has allowed unthinkable investments until not long ago.

In the province of Brescia (in the North of Italy) Solidarietà Provagliese has been the first one to provide a door to door separate waste collection of non-recyclable waste (RSU), kitchen waste (FORSU) and recyclable items (such as paper - glass - can - plastic packaging and garden waste) and to remove dustbins in the area; consequently it has obtained immediately good results: the average recycled material rate has been constantly about 80% of the collected waste.

The high percentage reached is due to special motor vehicles, projected and realized to make waste collection easier, and to the efficient management of municipal waste recycling centres.

With proud we want to list some data about the ecological service provided by Solidarietà Provagliese:

1) the most important services are  

• door to door separate waste collection of both non-recyclable and recyclable items
• waste recycling centres’ management
• streets’ sweeping by sweeper and leaf blower

The cooperative has been collaborating with the following municipalities in the province of Brescia: Adro, Castel Mella, Fiesse, Gambara, Pralboino, Monticelli Brusati, Provaglio d’Iseo, Roncadelle  and Palazzolo s/o. Solidarietà Provagliese is also responsible for emptying and maintaining the public litter bins of the following town: Cazzago San Martino.

The Cooperative’s street cleaners employed nowadays are about 70.
